Camp
Virginia Jaycee has received many inquires into the availability
of applications for the 2010 camping season. At this time,
we are in the process of revising our application and plan
to have the complete application package ready for downloading
and mailing in early February.
In addition, the camp hopes to have its summer
schedule posted on our website very soon. We are working hard
to make sure everything is in place, along with having a safe
and enjoyable environment for our campers. Furthermore, we
still will provide the best outdoor education and recreation
experience for those people with special needs. We hope to
see everyone again this summer at Camp Virginia Jaycee!!

special needs |
CVJC is a 501(c)3 non profit organization where
children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities
can participate in games, partake in new experiences, learn to appreciate
the outdoors, and have fun. Our facility is located on 90 acres
in the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains of Bedford, Virginia.
Goals
To contribute to the mental and
physical well-being and development of children and adults with
special needs through an organized program.
To provide activities which develop a feeling of self confidence
through accomplishments and foster a feeling of self worth.
To promote the development of interpersonal relationships and social
skills which will help children and adults adjust to a world outside
their immediate family.
To provide the opportunity for respite
to family members.
